Horton Winter Carnival

2007 marked the return of the Horton Winter Carnival. Over the years the Horton Winter Carnival was a consistently well attended event in the community. The first Carnival was held February 10th and 11th, 1978 at the Horton Sportsplex. Winter Carnival events were held throughout the day following a well attended breakfast. The Fishing Derby's awards and dance followed the Carnival.
The 2007 Winter Carnival had a modest crowd, with a great deal of people attending the fishing derby on the Ottawa River in Castleford.
